Louise R. Raymond is Vice President of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability for McGraw Hill Financial. Appointed in 1998 as Director, Corporate Contributions & Community Relations, Louise has since expanded her role and the department to encompass all of McGraw Hill Financial’s Corporate Responsibility activities, strategy and reporting.
Louise’s role includes management of the corporation’s Environmental Action and Corporate Responsible & Sustainability Committees and implementation of employee initiatives including the corporation’s “Green Teams”; centralizing collection and tracking of key CR-related performance data; guiding development of the corporation’s environmental sustainability strategy; management of inquiries from SRI funds and other external sources of corporate ESG performance; and serving as the chief liaison with McGraw Hill Financial’s business units and corporate departments charged with accountability in the primary areas of the Corporation’s CR activities.
Louise is also responsible for oversight of the corporation’s community and social investment programs globally. This includes the corporation’s grantmaking, which focuses on financial literacy, as well as McGraw Hill Financial’s employee workplace giving and volunteer engagement programs. In her role, Ms. Raymond staffs Harold (“Terry”) McGraw III, Chairman, President & CEO in his nonprofit board relationships.
Louise’s nonprofit board service has included the Arts & Business Council; Chair of the NYC School to Work Alliance; and most recently, the Women’s Network for a Sustainable Future.
Before joining McGraw Hill Financial, Louise held several positions in New York City government including the NYC Council President’s community liaison and Assistant Ombudsman; Special Liaison to the Immigrant Community for the Queens Borough President and Chair of the Queens Borough President’s Substance Abuse Advisory Task Force.
